Momma'S Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 3 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
    1 medium onion
    6 to 8 large potatoes, peeled and sliced as if for frying
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 (8 oz.) sour cream
    1 1/4 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 small box cornflakes, crushed
Preparation
    You will need an oblong casserole dish.
