Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 dashes bottled hot pepper sauce
    3 pt. shucked oysters, undrained
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 qt. (1/2 gal.) milk
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Blend flour, seasonings and 1/4 cup water in a 3-quart soup kettle.
    Add undrained oysters and margarine.
    Simmer over very low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, until edges of oysters curl, stirring gently.
    Add hot milk; remove from heat and cover.
    Let stand 15 minutes.
    Reheat briefly.
    Top servings with pats of butter. Serve with oyster crackers.
    Makes enough for 8.
