Mexican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dry rice
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 onion, sliced
    1 clove garlic, diced
    1 fresh tomato, cubed or 1 small can tomato sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    In large skillet, saute rice in oil until brown.
    Add remaining ingredients and 2 1/4 cups water over and simmer 20 to 25 minutes until rice is tender.
