Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. shortening
3 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine first 2 ingredients and set aside.
Cream next 4 ingredients in large bowl.
Add oatmeal mixture, then add remaining ingredients.
Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan 55 minutes at 350\u00b0.
After cake is cool, top with topping mixture.
Broil 2 minutes or until topping bubbles.
