Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. tomato juice
    1/2 c. rice
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion and pepper in shortening in large skillet. Add ground beef; brown well. Add tomato juice, rice, chili powder and seasonings; stir well. Pour into casserole; cover. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Yields 4 servings.
