Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground turkey sausage
4 medium onions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 cans (1 lb. 12 oz. each) stewed tomatoes
1 lb. spaghetti sauce
2 cans (15 1/2 oz. each) kidney beans, drained or 1 can pinto and 1 can kidney beans
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. cumin powder
Preparation

Saute ground turkey in a saucepan.
Add onions and pepper; continue cooking.
Add the sugar, chili powder and cumin powder to meat mixture.
Continue to brown the meat and seasonings, then add the tomatoes and spaghetti sauce.
Cook over slow heat so the meat mixture will not scorch.
As the meat is simmering, add the beans and finish cooking in about 1/2 to 1 hour.
The longer chili cooks over a slow fire, the better the flavor develops.
Can be served over rice or spaghetti or eaten by itself.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
