Hamburger Spinach Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 Tbsp. butter (optional)
    2 pkg. chopped frozen spinach
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef in butter.
    Add the frozen spinach; cook until thoroughly defrosted.
    Do not cover.
    Stir in the milk.
    Add the salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Thoroughly mix the cornstarch and water.
    Very slowly, add to the spinach-meat mixture.
    Stir until thickened.
    Serve with a dash of nutmeg over each bowl, if desired.
