Cheesey Corn And Ham Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 1/2 c. shredded carrots
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
    4 c. milk
    3 c. chicken broth
    2 c. chopped country ham
    2 c. fresh corn, cut off the cob
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. freshly ground pepper
Preparation
    Melt the butter in a Dutch oven over low heat.
    Add the carrots and onion; saute over low heat until tender, but not brown, about 10 minutes.
    Blend in the flour and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes.
    Add the milk and broth; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture has thickened.
