Hash Brown Scallop Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pkg. hash browns, thawed
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. pepper
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 c. grated onion
    1 pt. sour cream
    2 c. Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. melted butter
    about 1 c. bread crumbs or croutons
Preparation
    Let hash browns, salt and pepper sit at room temperature.
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch buttered baking dish.
    Top with melted butter, pouring over all of top.
    Top with croutons.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Can be made ahead of time.
