Ruth'S Quick Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/4 c. milk
    1 3/4 to 2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan, add brown sugar and cook, stirring constantly, over low heat for 2 minutes.
    Add milk and bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat, cool.
    Add sugar until spreading consistency is reached.
    Makes enough frosting for 2 (9-inch) layers or a 13 x 9-inch sheet cake.
