Cheddar Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    8 oz. (2 c.) sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 (16 oz.) can cream-style corn
Preparation
    In large saucepan, add first 7 ingredients and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
    Make a white sauce with the butter, flour and milk.
    Add the grated cheese to the sauce and stir until all cheese is melted.
    Add to cheese sauce one 16 ounce can cream-style corn and the precooked veggies with their liquid. Heat thoroughly and serve.
