Aunt Helen Springer'S Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and margarine; add egg and flour.
    Add vanilla. Can be shaped into a roll and refrigerated until cold and then sliced.
    Can be rolled and cut with cutter.
    Cook in 350\u00b0 oven on greased cookie sheet just until browned.
    Makes 1 1/2 dozen large or 3 dozen small cookies.
    Sugar can be sprinkled on before baking.
