Ingredients

1 qt. strawberries
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
red food coloring
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Wash, drain and hull strawberries.
For glaze, simmer 1 cup of sliced berries with 2/3 cup water until berries start to break up, about 3 minutes.
Blend sugar, cornstarch and remaining 1/3 cup water.
Stir into boiling mixture.
Add some red food coloring. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Cool.
