Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. black walnuts, firmly chopped or ground
3 eggs
2/3 c. milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks and nut meats.
Add sifted dry ingredients, alternating with milk.
Add vanilla; fold in egg whites.
Bake 70 minutes in loaf pan in moderate oven.
