Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
3 egg whites
1/2 c. coconut
1 can pineapple, crushed
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream together the sugar and butter and add the flavoring.
Sift together the dry ingredients and add them alternately with the milk to this mixture.
Add 1/2 of the pineapple (drained).
Fold in the egg whites beaten stiff.
Add the coconut; stir well.
Place in greased and floured pans.
Bake for 45 minutes.
