Chunky Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon, cut up
    1 large onion, chopped (1 c.)
    2 stalks celery, chopped (1 c.)
    1 (16 oz.) can whole potatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Fry bacon and drain.
    Cook and stir onion and celery in 2 tablespoons of reserved bacon fat until tender, 6 minutes.
    Stir in potatoes, broth, water, thyme and pepper.
    Heat to boiling. Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Stir in milk and bacon.
    Heat just until
    hot.
