Butter Beans And Ham Bits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. tiny uncooked country style ham bits
    4 c. boiling water
    3 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen baby lima beans
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Slice small bits of ham from shank end.
    Cook ham bits in a large saucepan in boiling water for 5 minutes.
    Add beans and pepper.
    Return to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cook according to package directions.
    Add sugar; cook 1 minute more.
    Drain well. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
