Ice Cream Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn syrup
    1 c. peanut butter
    8 c. Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal
    1/2 gal. ice cream, slightly softened (any flavor, but vanilla is good)
Preparation
    In medium size bowl, stir together corn syrup and peanut butter.
    Add Rice Krispies.
    Stir until well coated.
    Press half of mixture evenly in buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Place in freezer or coldest part of refrigerator until firm.
    Spread softened ice cream over firm mixture.
    Return to freezer until ice cream has hardened.
    Top with remaining cereal mixture.
    Press firmly. Return to freezer.
    When firm, cut into sandwich sizes and wrap individually in plastic wrap.
    Store in freezer.
