Chocolate Buttermilk Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. oleo or butter
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 cake German's sweet chocolate
    1 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add soda to flour and alternate flour and buttermilk.
    Melt chocolate in hot water and add to batter. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into cake batter. Bake at 340\u00b0 about 30 minutes (until just slightly sticky).
    Do not overbake.
    Bake in 4 layers.
