German Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 to 2 c. pecans
4 eggs
2/3 c. cherry preserves
2/3 c. apricot preserves
2/3 c. pineapple preserves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Mix
dry
ingredients.
Mix
butter and eggs.
Mix soda with buttermilk.
Mix
all together.
Add preserves.
Fold in pecans. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for
1
1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
Makes a large cake.
