Congri - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cooked beans (red, black or garbanzo)
    1 c. rice (long grain)
    1/2 green pepper
    1/2 onion
    1 piece of ham, cubed
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    If dry beans, soak overnight and cook until soft the next day. Saute ingredients.
    Add beans, tomato sauce, etc.
    Mix well and add water to make 2 or more cups of liquid.
    Bring to a boil; add rice. When rice surfaces, turn off heat.
    Cover until done, 1/2 hour. Depending on your stove, you may need to put it on simmer.
    Mine cooks with the heat only.
