Canadian Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. onion, finely chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. flour
    4 c. milk
    4 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. carrots, finely diced
    1/2 c. celery, finely diced
    dash of salt and paprika
    1 c. sharp Cheddar, diced
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter until tender.
    Blend in flour.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Reduce heat; add cheese and stir until cheese melts.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
