Perfection Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 small grated onion
    1 small chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. sliced stuffed olives
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 c. crisp, shredded cabbage
    1 or 2 small julienne, cut carrots
    1/4 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
    Dissolve in 1 1/4 cups boiling water.
    Add salt, sugar, lemon juice and vinegar.
    Stir to dissolve sugar.
    Let cool.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Chill in oiled molds or shallow pan.
    I use both red and green cabbages. Also use mayonnaise, sour cream and a little chili sauce mixed well.
