Chiles Rellenos (Egg) Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bread
    butter or margarine, softened
    2 c. shredded Cheddar (1/2 lb.)
    2 c. shredded Jack cheese (1/2 lb.)
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped (optional)
    6 eggs
    2 c. milk
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. whole oregano
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Spread each
    slice
    of bread with butter.
    Cut up in an 11 x 7
    x
    2-inch
    baking
    dish.
    Top
    with
    Cheddar and Jack cheese. Sprinkle
    with chilies.
    Beat eggs until frothy.
    Add remaining ingredients,
    mixing
    well.
    Pour
    egg mixture over casserole. Cover and chill overnight or for at least 4 hours. Uncover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Serves 6.
