Buttermilk Hot Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 1/4 c. plain flour, sifted
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Combine eggs, buttermilk and soda in bowl; mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add flour mixture and shortening to buttermilk mixture; mix well.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto hot griddle. Brown on both sides.
    Yields 20 servings.
