Glazed Pear Shortcake - cooking recipe

1 can sliced Bartlett pears (in syrup)
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp.
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
2/3 c. whipping cream
Preparation

Grease and flour 8-inch round cake pan.
Drain pears; reserve syrup.
Blend flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a small bowl.
Cut in butter.
Pour milk over mixture and toss with a fork.
Spoon into cake pan.
Top with pears; brush with syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake at 400\u00b0 until golden brown, approximately 45 minutes.
