Lemon Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. butter or margarine
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    grated rind of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Cream butter, 1 cup sugar and eggs.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Add milk alternately with flour that has been blended with baking powder.
    Mix well.
    Add lemon rind and nuts.
    Bake in 8 1/2 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven. Combine lemon juice with 1/4 cup sugar; pour over hot bread.
    Let stand until cool before removing from pan.
