Simple Apple Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb. 3 oz.) spice cake mix
    2 (21 oz.) cans apple pie filling
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
    1 c. water
    whipped topping or ice cream (on top)
Preparation
    Put half of dry cake mix in 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
    Spoon pie filling on this.
    Top with remaining cake mix.
    Bake until apples are soft, if using fresh apples, but much better to use pie filling.
