Hot Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. vinegar plus water to make 1/2 c. liquid
    5 c. cooked, diced potatoes
Preparation
    Cook bacon crisp; crumble.
    Combine 1/3 cup bacon drippings with the rest of ingredients except potatoes.
    Heat and stir.
    Add to potatoes and onions.
