Refrigerator Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 pt. heavy cream
4 egg whites
1 pkg. Knox gelatine
1/4 c. cold water
1/4 c. hot water
3/4 c. sugar
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts, cherries and pineapple (as desired)
ladyfingers or angel food cake
Preparation

Beat heavy cream until stiff.
To this, add egg whites that have been stiffly beaten.
Dissolve Knox gelatine in cold water, then add hot water.
Cool.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla (and nuts, cherries and pineapple as desired).
Line spring-form pan with ladyfingers or angel food cake.
Pour in mixture.
Refrigerate.
