Pecan Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. white syrup
    1 small can Pet milk
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. chopped pecans
    1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Boil the water and syrup to hard ball stage (248\u00b0).
    Take from fire and add the Pet milk.
    Add the butter. Cook to soft ball (238\u00b0).
    Stir constantly.
    Add pecans and vanilla. Beat and then roll. To roll, butter a large sheet of waxed paper.
    Pour the candy on it and roll up with your hands. Grease hands with more butter.
