White Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat 4 egg whites until stiff in a bowl.
    In a pan, put 2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup water; bring to a boil.
    Add 1 tablespoon vinegar.
    Boil until it spins a 3 to 4 inch thread.
    Beat egg whites while pouring hot sugar syrup over them, then beat in 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Beat until cool.
    Spread over cake.
