Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and molasses; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Bake in greased shallow pan in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 45 minutes.
