Buttermilk Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1/4 level tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    few grains salt
    1 tsp. butter
    3 eggs, separated
    rind and juice of 1 lemon
    3 Tbsp. sugar for meringue
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation
    Add soda to buttermilk.
    Add salt and flour to sugar and half of buttermilk-soda mixture for a thick paste.
    Put in egg yolks and add remainder of milk.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Add butter, grated rind and juice of lemon.
    When cool, pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue.
