Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 c. flour
    1 c. corn meal
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1 can corn (cream-style or whole kernel)
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. grated cheese
    jalapeno pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat, jalapeno pepper, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder in heavy skillet.
    Mix flour, corn meal and baking powder. Add egg, corn, milk, sugar and 1/2 of cheese.
    Mix with meat mixture.
    Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    until done.
    Then put remainder of cheese on top.
    Cook until melted and bubbly.
