Almond Amaretto Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
6 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

In mixer whip butter until it is light and fluffy.
Add sugar, then almond and vanilla extracts.
Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
Add 1/3 cup flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture, then 1/2 milk.
Blend well.
Add 1/3 more flour, the milk and then the last of the flour.
Mix well.
Whip egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold whites into cake mixture and divide into 3 (9-inch) cake pans that have been greased and floured.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until cake is firm.
Let stand a few minutes and then remove from pans to cake racks to cool. Frost with Almond Butter Cream Frosting.
