Viennese Cherry Cheese Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Duncan Hines butter cake mix
    3 large eggs
    1/2 c. margarine
    2/3 c. water
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. plus 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry or strawberry pie filling
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Use two 8 or 9-inch round cake pans. Combine mix, eggs, butter and water in a large mixer bowl.
    Mix, bake and cool as directed on package of cake mix.
    Refrigerate layers to make splitting easier.
    Split each cake into 2 halves.
