Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs
3 c. oatmeal
1 pkg. chocolate chips (if desired)
nuts (if desired)

Preparation

Mix sugar and shortening until creamy.
Add eggs and mix well. Add flour, soda and salt to mixture and mix well.
Add oatmeal. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 7 to 10 minutes.
