No Bake Date Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. cut-up dates
pinch of salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. butter
3 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
powdered sugar (optional)
Preparation

Combine dates, salt, sugar, egg and butter in saucepan.
Mix well.
Cook 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in cereal, walnuts and vanilla.
Roll into balls (butter hands first).
Roll in powdered sugar, if desired.
