Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. cranberries, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Cut in shortening until coarse.
    Combine egg and orange juice and add to first mixture, only enough to mix lightly.
    Fold in cranberries and nuts.
    Bake in bread pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Make corners higher than center.
