Batter Fried Fish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
2/3 c. water
1/3 c. lemon juice (optional)
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 lb. fish fillets
flour
vegetable oil
Preparation

In medium bowl, mix together 1 cup flour, water, lemon juice, egg, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Dip fish in flour, then in batter.
Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
This recipe is also great for frying shrimp, oysters and scallops.
