Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed bananas (ripe)
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix buttermilk and soda; let stand. Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, and beat. Add bananas, salt and vanilla. Add buttermilk mix and flour alternately. Add nuts. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Makes 1 large loaf. Freezes well or keep in refrigerator.
