7 Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    2 cans sliced water chestnuts
    1 bottle bacon bits or 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
    4 boiled eggs
    1 medium onion
    seasoning salt
    Hellmann's mayonnaise
    1 head lettuce
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into small pieces; place in the bottom of a large bowl.
    Drain peas and add to top of lettuce.
    Add sugar over peas. Slice onions in small round pieces and add to top of peas.
    Add water chestnuts; then slice eggs and add to top of chestnuts. Next, sprinkle bacon bits over top of eggs.
    Spread mayonnaise over the top to cover; sprinkle seasoning salt over top, not too heavy. Cover and let set overnight for full flavor.
    Stir and serve.
    A meal in itself.
