Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. cooked prunes
    1 c. sour milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure and sift again with soda and spices. Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add chopped prunes and mix well. Add flour and milk alternately.
    Beat until smooth after each addition.
    Pour into greased and floured 10-inch square pan and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Test for doneness.
    Do not overbake.
    Best flavor after several days of storing.
