Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onions
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes or 4 c. fresh tomatoes, cut up
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
    sprinkle of nutmeg
Preparation
    Saute the onions and garlic salt in the salad oil in a large Dutch oven pan until clear.
    Add the rest of the ingredients; bring to a boil and then turn to simmer and simmer for 1 hour or more until of desired consistency.
    Use as any recipe requests for spaghetti sauce.
    Makes about 6 pints.
