Apple Tea Bread - cooking recipe

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins
4 medium size apples
1 stick butter
1/2 c. oil
1 Tbsp. vanilla
2 large eggs
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease and flour 3 empty one pound coffee cans.
In large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and raisins.
Core the apples and grate into flour mixture. In a saucepan melt margarine.
Remove from heat.
Stir in oil, vanilla and eggs.
Stir butter mixture into dry ingredients. Spoon batter into prepared cans.
Bake 1 1/4 hours or until a cake tester or skewer comes out clean.
Cool in cans for 10 minutes. Remove from cans.
Cool completely.
Wrap and store overnight before slicing.
