Christmas Pudding 2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. brown breadcrumbs
    1 tsp. mixed spice
    8 oz. sultanas
    8 oz. currants
    1 lb. raisins
    4 oz. dates
    2 oz. chopped peel
    2 oz. chopped blanched almonds
    1 medium grated apple
    1 medium grated carrot
    8 oz. dark brown sugar
    8 oz. shredded cooking fat (Trex or Spry)
    2 Tbsp. black treacle
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    4 eggs
    miniature bottle of rum
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice (fresh preferably)
Preparation
    Mix together and cook for 4 to 5 hours.
    Makes 3 puddings.
