Ham And Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. diced, cooked ham
    3 c. diced, partially cooked potatoes
    6 Tbsp. oleo
    1 small onion, diced
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
    salt and pepper
    8 to 10 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
    6 Tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Put ham and potatoes into shallow, 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Melt 3 tablespoons oleo.
    Add onion and cook until golden.
    Blend in flour.
    Gradually add milk and cook, stirring until thickened. Pour over ham and potatoes.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Dot with rest of oleo.
    Sprinkle bread crumbs over top.
