Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 large onion
4 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 c. chopped sweet green pepper
3 c. canned tomatoes, cut up
3/4 c. red wine
flour (for dredging)
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Coarsely chop onion and brown in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Remove onion from oil and set aside.
Add 2 tablespoons oil to the pan and brown chicken which has been dredged with flour, salt and pepper.
Add tomatoes, garlic and coarsely chopped sweet green pepper.
Return browned onion to the pan and simmer chicken and vegetables, covered, for 15 minutes on low heat.
Add wine, salt and pepper to taste.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
