Date Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped dates
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar (brown)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    Cool Whip topping
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. butter, melted
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Soak dates in hot water; do not drain.
    Add remaining ingredients, except the whipped topping.
    Mix well.
    Pour into pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Cool and serve with Cool Whip.
